Use This Japanese DIY Rice Cream Face Mask for Glowing Skin

japanese diy face mask for glowing skin using rice cream and flaxseed

The latest glowing skin natural remedy doing the rounds is this super easy Japanese DIY rice cream face mask. I tried this super easy recipe for myself and I was BEYOND IMPRESSED at the power of rice cream.

While some people claim the anti-aging power of this rice cream face pack, I can’t speak to that as I haven’t been using it long term. But I’ve tried it for 7 days and TAKE MY WORD for it – this easy to make face mask is SUPER effective in giving you glowing skin.

Glowing Skin Flaxseed + Rice Cream Face Mask Recipe

How to Make Rice Cream

Take two tablespoons of raw rice, and cook it on an open pan in one full cup of water.

Keep stirring the pot, and the rice should cook in about 15-20 minutes. You’ll want to take it off the flame when the rice is soft and well done, and also there is still some moistness/water left in the pan.

Transfer this to a blender/grinder/food processor, and grind on full power for a minute or so until you get a smooth rice paste.

If you aren’t able to grind it to a desired consistency, use a sieve or cheesecloth to filter out the clumps. You’re left with an utterly smooth rice cream.

Transfer to a clean container and optionally, you can add a capsule of Vitamin E oil to extend the shelf life of this rice cream. Store in your fridge for about a week.

How to Make Flax Seed Gel

Take two tablespoons of flaxseed and heat it in a pan with a cup of water.

Keep stirring the mixture, until you see the mixture thickening up and reach a gel consistency.

Take the flax gel off the heat. Once it’s cool enough to touch, strain the gel through a cheesecloth and transfer to a container.

You can also add a drop of Vitamin E oil to extend the shelf life. Store in the fridge once cool for up to a week.

Mix together one tablespoon each of the rice cream and flaxseed gel. Add oil from one Vitamin E capsule too.

Once this mixture is thoroughly mixed, apply an even, thin layer all over your face & neck. (but PLEASE avoid eyebrows – I learned this the hard way!)

You’ll know when this mask dries. You won’t be able to move the muscles on your face at all, but this is ok! Once dry, gently peel it off and wash with cold water.

You’ll see immediate results – fresh looking skin.

If you can use this 4 times a week (or like me, every single day for almost a week), I guarantee you each day’s results are going to be even better than the previous.

In Summary

This mask gives you a SERIOUS glow and radiance to your face. It’s also believed that this is an anti-aging face mask if used long term. I’m not sure if it can “fix” any wrinkles or age spots, but perhaps it MAY help prevent new ones from coming.

I’m planning to add this rice cream face mask to my skincare routine. I’m aiming for 3-4 times a week as long as I can keep it up (hopefully permanently). I’m hopeful the anti-aging benefits will indeed kick in, in future.

But honestly, the glow alone is more than enough for me! 🙂
